the continuing toilet saga

since the main toilet area looks like this, and DH had to put a fan under the house to get it dry enough to work on the water lines, which caused mold to blow into the house, which in turn started my allergies to start rearing their ugly heads, we went to a little slice of heaven in Downtown Tulsa.  I had enough Marriott points for one night at the Courtyard by Marriott at the Atlas Life building...

     I think they felt sorry for us, they gave us an upgrade...

The sign on the shower made us feel  at home....

Not enough Marriott or Hilton points for another night at a hotel so DH drug this out of the shed...

Not sure why putting the porta potty in the bedroom seemed like a good idea, but after I informed DH that wasn't acceptable, he put it in the 3/4 bath...I hope there's no spiders in that thing...today is Saturday and day four of the toilet saga...think I'll go use the Marriott points credit card....after I find some unsuspecting soul to let me use their facilities...

No, you may not use my toilet

If we had visitors and they asked to use the toilet we would have to tell them no.....Dear Hubby did tell me last night that if things went well with the plumbing he was going to start demo on the main bathroom today. I did hear him say something about part of the lines he needed to get to were in the wall so that would mean we would only have one toilet for awhile longer...I understood that to mean the new 3/4 bath would be all working before demo began.  As I write this, I have zero working toilets in the house...we can go out the The Boy's garage apartment (think frat house) and use that one but I'm more inclined to see if Army Surplus has a Porta Jane...now it's 8:20 PM and DH just realized that another pipe has burst and needs to be replaced (the good news is he will have replaced all the plumbing in the house when this project is done)...he hates plumbing!

I think the old shutters DH uncovered are cool.  Hopefully we can reclaim those.

Main Bathroom

Dear Hubby has informed me that demo will begin soon - MAYBE as soon as tomorrow. If the plumbing project with the 3/4 bath goes well and his back isn't aching too bad after working under the house, then demo begins.  It seems as though two working toilets in the house can't happen until he can get to pipes that are behind the plaster that is coming out.  Oh JOY! More plaster dust and mess to deal with.  On the positive side, the bathroom will FINALLY be done...we've been collecting supplies for a few years.  That sink I bought four or so years ago may be out of style by now.....
